Thirsty Horses and its flagship product ‘WorkPAL’ is on an incredible and ground-breaking journey.
In the current economic climate, Local Authorities need to be able to assess the impact and effectiveness of their organisational design and development processes to determine whether they are fit for purpose. They also need to be able to consider what, if any, further actions and initiatives may be required to help them better meet the financial and service delivery challenges they will face over the coming years.
WorkPAL provides HR/OD Directors and Executive Management Teams with hard evidence based data and analytics to support the decisions they will be required to make as they configure the organisation to be fit for purpose to meet the evolving needs and expectations of their service users.
The system’s ethos, philosophy and design means that organisations see increased productivity as a result of measurable and meaningful staff engagement and empowerment – both through ‘horizontal’ and vertical channels. As a consequence, the return on investment evaluation takes a little time to fully emerge but in the final analysis, the investment decision is justified by increased productivity, less staff churn and a more engaged workforce.
WorkPAL has been developed with the input of many cross-sector and cross-functional contributors; users, managers, Human Resources and Organisational Development experts and senior executives – all of whom were interviewed on the understanding that there would be no attribution to them. Their views and feedback have been of enormous value to us, have enabled us to streamline processes, and have been the catalyst for some new innovative ideas specifically developed to give the market what it wants.
